The cable has always been the compromise on assembly lines. It catches on fixtures, limits operator movement, and adds wear-points to manage. The Tensor IxB removes it without sacrificing the intelligence that makes safety-critical fastening auditable.
What's new
The IxB on-board controller handles tightening strategy, result storage and network communication without an external Power Focus unit. Ethernet and WLAN connectivity means tightening data flows directly to your MES or quality system in real time.
Battery performance is rated for 1,000+ fastenings per charge at typical assembly torques, enough for a full shift on high-volume lines without a mid-shift swap.
Is it right for your line?
The IxB suits lines where cable management is a genuine problem, particularly where operators move between stations, or where fixture geometry makes cable routing awkward. For fixed-station work with short cycle times, a cabled Tensor ST Revo may still be the better choice on cost.
We're happy to run a line-assessment and recommend based on your actual cycle times and joint requirements. Request a demo or quote.
